Nancy’s Wellness Tools & Techniques

Nancy provides wellness sessions and products

A Life Coach colleague asked me what I do when conducting wellness sessions. The question is simple, but the answer is complex. For myself and others, I use and recommend the following tools, the first 3 of which + the chi machine helped me enormously and quickly with Lyme’s Disease in 2017. The Healy (which is new on the market) helped me amazingly with excruciating pain this year.

Wellness Products I Don’t Sell

Calcium Bentonite ClayClay to detox from insect bites

Why Drink Clay? Specific kinds of calcium bentonite clay remove toxins, viruses, bacteria, metals, etc. from the body. There are myriad uses (and it’s already in cosmetics, toothpaste, and more products). Check the link for some details.

Since clay extracts foreign items from the body, you should never use it with medications and not even with metal utensils. For Lyme, after I took the course of antibiotics, I started using clay – both internally and as a poultice in affected areas on my legs. It also solved intestinal issues – separate from Lyme.

Castor Oil

Castor Oil Buds by Logga Wiggler

Castor Oil From the castor plant, this is inexpensive and works (with either internal or external applications). There are great books about the healing properties of castor oil, which can be found in any grocery store, big-box store, etc.

CBD Oils

I cannot vouch for the use of CBD oils for arthritis, because I’ve never used them. However, here is a link at which you can learn more, if you are interested. I’m sharing it because some people have found CBD very helpful.

Wellness Products I Do Sell

Blue bottle of ASEA with notes about what body systems it helps

ASEA to boost the immune system (If you are unfamiliar, it contains Redox signaling molecules that are identical to those found naturally in your body. Those send signals to keep healthy cells and to repair or replace injured or diseased cells.) I do sell this and have been using it daily since 2013. (I’m 77 years old and do not need any pharmaceutical medications.)

Healy Images of Programs

Healy – FDA-cleared Class II medical device for pain, arthritis, and muscle soreness due to exertion. It is good for so much more than those items. It utilizes microcurrents from a sensor that can read exactly what your body needs in organs, meridians, emotions, etc., and then can transmit those frequencies to you. I have not yet started doing remote sessions, as I’ve not learned how to do it via Zoom, but I have people who can do it until I learn. I just got this in January and expect to use it multiple times a day for life. The beauty of this also is that the whole family can use one Healy. I do sell these items, including the Healy watch.

Chi Machine

Chi machine – Sun Ancon “Chi Machine®” – Aerobic Exerciser, designated a Class I medical device by the FDA. and sold by HTE Americas.
The chi machine (made famous on The Doctors tv show and elsewhere) is great for people who can’t or won’t exercise, for addressing circulation issues (blood, oxygen, lymph), and I use it to ease back pain whenever I’ve been moving heavy objects or moving to a new location. The beauty of this also is that the whole family can use one chi machine. Yes, I sell it. Here’s how you use it. You just lie on the floor with your ankles in an ankle rest, and it does all the work.

I have a “spare” on which I used to rent time when I had a venue in which I taught classes and conducted healing or meditation sessions. 15 minutes = 10,000 steps; 5 minutes = 1/2 hour walk.  Of course, I cannot do that now, given the pandemic, but you can get a trial period from the company.

Remote Sessions Involving No Products

Reiki – I’m calling my sessions “Distance Reiki,” because many people are familiar with that term (even if they don’t really know what it means), and some insurance companies pay for those treatments. In fact, I often do use Reiki remote healing techniques, if I am guided (via my intuitive sensing) that it is what is needed.

A More Esoteric Approach

However, what really happens in most sessions is indescribable in that I’m working at the “soul level” where there are no descriptive words adequate to the task.

The way I would describe it with some clients is that I invoked the highest Divine sources of healing, knowledge, and wisdom that would work with me specifically for the recipient and asked that all impure or harmful molecules be rendered inert and ineffective and dissolved back into the Nothingness from whence they sprang. Then, (or simultaneously) I work energetically to the end that all perfectly healthy molecules (organs, systems, etc.) be generated, enlivened, and prevail.

Permission from the Recipient Is Required

Recipients do not have to know exactly what I’m going to do; but, ethically, I must have their consent to try to help them.

How Does The Recipient Know What Happened?

wellness reporting - blue keyboard key with email symbol and word

When people hire me for remote healing sessions, I give them a report afterward (usually by email, but it could be via Zoom, for example). I share what I experienced during the session if I can find words adequate to match a description. (When one is working at the level of the subconscious, it is not verbal, linear, or necessarily logical.)
Sometimes, I feel the pain or constriction in my body that exists in the recipient’s body. Or, I might get messages to interpret. I might give references to Ayurveda, or Louise Hay, or to what symbols mean if I saw something (dreamlike) while I was “in the zone.”
stick figures shaking hands from their computers over wellness reportThe report must go to the recipient; and, if that person wants to share it, fine, but it is his/her choice. I cannot share it with anyone else – even if they paid for the recipient’s wellness session.

Also, there are times, when the whole process is solely energetic – I can feel the warmth that usually accompanies Reiki – but there are no words or visions, etc. It’s more fun when I can do a “reading,” but I can’t control whether the session will yield that kind of information. In those instances, it seems all the healing energy is flowing TO the person without looping back to me with information that needs interpretation.

Classes, Spiritual Counseling, or Life/Business Coaching
illustration of Zoom meeting
For groups and individuals, I might conduct, classes, coaching, or counseling sessions – now on Zoom. The Body/Mind is a messenger of our state of being. Have a headache? That probably indicates a form of stress, poor circulation, or some other issue that needs your attention. Symptoms of physical illness often correlate with mental/emotional states, so we can explore that – again – one-on-one with the recipient and me –  unless he/she chooses to have someone else with us.

Before quarantine, I could conduct wellness appointments in person, and Reiki or one of my other healing modalities might have been incorporated. I also employ NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) and other techniques, as guided, during each session.

HypnoMeditations or Hypnosis

Another example is having a conversation with the recipient and then crafting a HypnoMeditation for that person to help overcome issues, limiting beliefs, pain, etc. This example is “generic” for people seeking abundance and right work.

None of us ever knows what it’s going to be like in advance, no matter how we plan it, because I am attuned to internal guidance as to what is needed at any given moment.

Lyme Disease – Things To Try

Thyme To Talk Lyme + More

My Lyme Story – In Brief

profile of woman in headscarf - looking down - ready for changeImagine my surprise upon waking one morning when I felt pain and a sense of paralysis in arms and legs. Instinctively, I jolted them into action, just to see if they would move. The forcing worked, so I sat up and discovered two insect bites on my left leg. One was at knee level and the other on my ankle. The knee was hugely swollen and had pockets of fluid in the area. It would not bend easily, completely, and without pain. In fact, there was pain throughout my body, and revolving pockets of swelling showed up in various joint areas over the next few weeks.

I didn’t think too much about it, since I could see no evidence of the presence of ticks, and I thought there was an equal possibility the bites were from a spider. Of course, animals carry ticks, which carry Lyme Disease.  Yes, I have four – as in 4 – Indoor/Outdoor rescue cats. However, I had been sleeping in a room which is off limits to them.

stick figure sitting with head in handSo, in typical holistic healer fashion, I did nothing about it. My days in July were consumed with visits from my Internet Service Provider as they tried everything they could think of to fix interconnectivity issues. I also was creating and teaching the last of my Fall classes. When I finally did go to a doctor, we concluded that – if it were going to kill me, I’d already be dead. We did no blood tests, and I got no prescriptions. That was a big mistake, so my first point to you is to see a physician immediately and request blood tests when you discover an insect bite.

person helping another person with caneTwo months later, the pain was increasing, and I still could not bend my leg to get into or out of bed, a car, or a chair. Then, I did get blood tests which showed I have a “really, really, really, really bad” case of Lyme, and the doctor prescribed Doxycycline. A number of people wanted to know what additional things I would do, as a holistic healer, so I started a Facebook page which is only about that topic. See this link to follow the conversation as I add more details or ideas over time.

Things To Do

Here is a summary of things I’m trying, along with the Doxycycline. NOTE: I am not diagnosing or prescribing any treatments of any kind. You should contact your health provider about ancillary activities in which you engage. I did that, and my doctor is supportive of each of the things I’m listing below. Again, get blood tests to find out if you have Lyme. I had not known it is “incurable,” and that a person ostensibly will test positive for Lyme for the rest of life. But, you can control symptoms.

Medications and Countermeasures for Lyme Disease

  1. According to two of my most respected physicians, Doxycycline is the most effective pharmaceutical drug.
    1. It can have horrific side effects, and I was terrified to take it; but, in my case the side effects were minimal.
    2. I asked for it in syrup form, initially, to aid in quick absorption. Later, I found the pills much easier to deal with (and more transportable for “road warriors” like me).
    3. It must be taken with food, so timing meals 12 hours apart must be planned.
  2. Antibiotics typically kill both good and bad bacteria in the body. We must offset them in order to have our digestive and immune systems work properly. Therefore, I made up the following regimen.
    1. Wake up and drink a cup of hot water to cleanse residues from the body.
    2. Drink 4 oz. of ASEA (more about that later) and wait 5 minutes before eating.
    3. Eat breakfast and take Doxycycline.
    4. At Mid-morning, take a probiotic pill with a cup of Activia.
    5. Take another probiotic with lunch.
    6. Take another probiotic 2 hours before dinner.
    7. Eat dinner and take the antibiotic.
    8. Eat no food for x hours before going to bed and drink 4 oz. of ASEA at bedtime.

Physical Exercise Options for Lyme Disease

  1. You need both strength training and aerobic exercise. Since I could not do traditional aerobic exercises, I chose to use the chi machine to get oxygen, blood, and lymph flowing, nurturing, and cleansing my body. It was very helpful in removing pockets of fluid and other obstacles created by the Lyme Disease. It is so easy to lie on the carpet and let the machine do the work. Ideally, you should have someone with you to help you get down and up easily.
  2. For strength training, I use free weights for upper body. I did my own “physical therapy” working daily and gently on my knee and left leg to get them to function more normally. Once I could get the knee to bend, I started using my “Perfect 10” exercise equipment to add weights at the ankle as I bent and straightened the leg from a sitting position.

Complementary and Alternative Medicine Options for Lyme Disease

  • I’ve also been sleeping on my Amethyst Biomat each night to aid in the circulation of blood, oxygen, and lymph.
  • I contacted Reverend Sandy Young, who did a Voice Print Analysis for me to see what sound wave energy frequencies I need to counteract the effect of Lyme and/or of the medication. Both Lyme and the medications can affect eyesight, so she gave me the Lyme “reciprocal” and frequencies for eyes, as well as suggesting I take beta-carotene supplements and foods.
  • I had a consultation with a doTerra representative and got some essential oils to try.
  • I’m taking Univera products for both cleansing the system and for aid in joint repair. (It’s called ReginiCare.)

What’s Next?

Because this blog now is much too long, I’ll do follow up blogs to describe the alternative methods and their results in future posts. Meanwhile, if you have suggestions about things that have worked for overcoming the symptoms of Lyme Disease, I’d love to hear about them.

I’m doing very well.  I’m still working 8 – 10 hour days, as I have been throughout this process (but I sometimes need a nap midway through). I’m almost able to stand and move normally and no longer have to pick up my left leg to drag it into and out of a vehicle. Most of the swelling is gone, and I am through taking the medication, Doxycycline. I shall continue with several of the alternative treatments and report back to you soon. Meanwhile,….
