What If You Don’t Know About Reiki? Let’s Learn Now

It is very soothing and relaxing. If nothing else, it helps one become calmer and clearer. Sometimes, seemingly miraculous things happen. I’ve never met a person who was worse off for having tried it.

Right now, we’re talking about my giving a Reiki session to a person, animal, plant, or situation that is not in my physical presence. That is what is meant by “distance healing.” However, to help you understand better, here is my blog about what you could expect during an in-person Reiki session. I gave it to my clients back in the days when I used to provide in-person sessions regularly. Some of the experiences that people have are the same whether they receive the treatment while with a practitioner or via long-distance methods.

  Definition and Explanation of Reiki

According to Web MD, Reiki is:

Reiki means “universal life energy” and is an ancient healing method that manipulates energy flow in the body. ….Reiki releases energy flows and allows the body’s own natural healing ability to work…(It) focuses on seven main energy centers, called chakras, in your body. Practitioners believe that if energy paths are blocked, you may feel ill or weak or have pain…..(An in-person) Reiki treatment session usually lasts an hour. The Reiki practitioner puts his or her hands over or on your body at certain chakras. Most Reiki practitioners recommend more than one session.

Distance Healing May Take Less Time

Hands doing Reiki distance healingDistance healing uses the energies that pervade all living things and works at the causal level or soul level. When one is offering distance healing, sessions may be as short as 5 – 15 minutes but could be up to about 30 minutes, versus an in-person session, which often lasts from 45 – 60 minutes.

On the other hand, some of them prefer to lie under a Reiki table when people are receiving an in-person treatment. I think they are absorbing the excess healing energies not needed by the intended client. They bask in it.

Receiving Reiki Helps In the Transition From Life to Afterlife

In addition, Reiki can be very helpful in assisting both animals and humans to make the transition out of this life. They are thankful for the easing of pain and the calming of emotions.

My Reiki Certifications and Lineage

Yes, I am certified in Reiki Levels I, II, and III (Master), and my lineage is very close to the founder of this healing modality, Dr. Usui. He taught it to Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who taught my instructor, John Harvey Gray.

What Is the Cost, and How Long Is a Distance Reiki Session?

gold and black medallion with words "Hot Offers"The cost is $10 for a 15-minute session or $20 for a 30-minute session. Don’t let anyone fool you. Distance healing rarely takes longer than that. In fact, if you paid me for a 30-minute session, and the recipient needed only half that time, I will give two 15-minute sessions, instead of just one. We cannot always predict how long any given treatment will take.

You can book a single session or multiple sessions. For example, doing one every night for a week can be beneficial. FYI: people often are more receptive at night when their minds are not preoccupied with so many tasks and interactions with other people.

What Are the Payment Options?

envelope inserted into mailbox with flag up for postal pickupAlternatively, you can mail a check to me, and I’ll do the session after your check clears. I’ll give you the address and will notify you when the check has cleared via our email communications.

If we live close enough to one another in Virginia, of course, I would accept cash when we meet in person.

Requirements – as in Must Have – for a Distance Reiki Healing Session

I need the direct permission of, plus the name, location, and emotional or health concern of the recipient. The recipient must give permission. Permission from someone who thinks someone else should have a session is not acceptable. I don’t care if you’re paying for someone else. That person MUST grant me permission unless it is an animal. If the recipient is an animal, I will connect with it from a distance and determine whether permission is granted.

I will not try to influence any other person’s thoughts or behavior. This is not the kind of thing in which you ask me to do Reiki on someone to make them love you, or leave you alone, or become a better person. Reiki is a sacred trust and serves the Highest Good For All Concerned.
