Unleash Creativity | Chakras & Haiku Poetry

Haiku and Chakras – who would have thought of them in combination? I would, of course!

I loved learning about each one, albeit years apart!

CREATIVITY – THE CHAKRA CRUTCH DESCRIBED IN HAIKU

I’m about to teach you how I psyched myself up to access my creativity – by using chakras as the foundation for Haiku poetry – when I had to write “upbeat” pieces of work for publication right after having to Euthanize another (the third during the pandemic) of my pets who had been with me for eighteen years. You also can overcome grief, physical pain, or “just being stuck,” by employing these techniques – with or without the poetry.

Speaking in Haiku ~

crying

I was not smiling.

I felt paralyzed with grief.

I colored myself.

You will understand that last line better if you read (below) about Haiku and see the last poem.

As a holistic healing practitioner, I was blessed to know techniques that can be used to overcome grief and/or to tap into your imaginative mind for solving problems. You, too, can get “unstuck” in all areas of creativity, or household and business projects, and even health and emotional well-being, by learning about these chakra techniques. Most can be done anywhere in any circumstances. The Haiku is optional!

First let’s learn some definitions of Chakras and Haiku for those who don’t already know. Then, I’ll describe some simple tools you can use as relates to chakras.

Meditation 101 ~ Would You Like to Hear About Meditation From Someone New?

Namaste! This is the first time I’ve allowed a Contributing Author to provide the content for a post on my website. I’m giving you a teaser from his blog on Meditation101: Practices, Postures, and Pretty Much Everything In Between. Jamal Bara is the owner and author of the Fitness Goat website. We started communicating after he saw my page on a class I teach about the similarities and differences among Meditation, Affirmations, and Creative Visualization.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is a deliberate practice and one that requires your most quiet, mindful state. The word is tossed around a lot, but you may not exactly know meditation’s actual meaning or function. If asked, I would initial picture Yoda summoning the Force. Perhaps this is a form of meditation, but we’ll leave that for the galaxy.

Though meditation varies and splinters off into different styles of practices, it begins with one specific application—calming your mind. It also (hopefully) ends with a similar goal—restoring balance. The in-between is where you can customize your practice.

Using apps on your phone may seem like it’s defeating the purpose of detaching and focusing, but I’m liking this option. I need the incentive to stay on task and build a habit. Whether that’s a monthly payment or simply seeing the app button on my home screen, I think we could all use a boost.

I usually do separate blogs for this website and my other one “My Persuasive Presentations.” However, in these times, I think it better to share my thoughts on current events in both places, since each has some different subscribers. Forgive me (and read only once), if you have gotten this twice.)

Love and Tolerance have been MIA (missing in action) during this political season – not just in the United States of America, but across the globe. It can be difficult to find and/or keep one’s emotional, spiritual, and even physical balance when immersed in the news of political or social upheaval and in images of the victims of wars and acts of terrorism. All You Need To Know … As An Introduction

As Above, So Below

As a certified practitioner of several Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) and wellness modalities, I teach Introductory classes, which explain the concepts involved. So, if you have ever heard the term “holistic healing,” “Complementary and Alternative Medicine,” or “CAM,” and you wondered what the heck that means, these wellness classes provide the answers for natural ways of healing yourself – meaning non-synthetic, non-pharmaceutical, and non-surgical ways of increasing your health.

The critical thing is to penetrate the cause, not just the symptoms, of whatever the dis-ease expression is. That involves the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person, as relates to his or her physical manifestations of balance and imbalance: thus, the expression, “As Above, So Below,” but without specific religious connotations.

I have worked successfully with people of many faiths and with some who had no religious philosophies. I also have worked successfully with many animals, and it is pretty safe to say that they had no religious beliefs of any recognizable kind. The treatments still worked.

Because there is a lot of experiential evidence (about the efficacy of things, like acupuncture) that was not obtained via traditional Western scientific study methods, I disagree with some of Wikipedia’s conclusions. Still, see what it offers for the (partial) definition of some of these terms, as follows:

Alternative medicine is any practice that is put forward as having the healing effects of medicine, but is not founded on evidence gathered using the scientific method.^[1] It consists of a wide range of health care practices, products and therapies.^[2] Examples include new and traditional medicine practices such as homeopathy, naturopathy, chiropractic, energy medicine, various forms of acupuncture, Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, and Christian faith healing. The treatments are those that are not part of the conventional, science-based healthcare system,^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6] and are not backed by scientific evidence. Complementary medicine is alternative medicine used together with conventional medical treatment in a belief, not proven by using scientific methods, that it “complements” the treatment.^{[n 1]}^[1]^[8]^[9] CAM is the abbreviation for Complementary and alternative medicine.^[10]^[11] Integrative medicine (or integrative health) is the combination of the practices and methods of alternative medicine with conventional medicine.^[12]

Even the National Institutes of Health recognizes some of the CAM modalities. One source for learning more about Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine is the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), a division of the United States National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health. INTRODUCTION TO COMPLEMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE
