Healy is FDA Cleared Class II medical deviceI Use a Healy for Arthritis Pain

Arthritis can affect any joint in the body and can become increasingly painful as we age. Most notably, we feel it in knees, hips, and hands, if we acquire osteoarthritis. Below, you’ll find information about causes and treatments. Meanwhile, I am delighted – thrilled, actually – to find a hugely effective, FDA-cleared*, Class II Medical Device for pain relief. It works with your smartphone. It is totally portable, and you can clip it onto your clothes to be hands-free. (It’s about the size of a white cracker).

People are using this technology worldwide. In the United States, the FDA has cleared it specifically for use on acute and chronic pain, arthritis pain, and muscle soreness due to overexertion. Germany also cleared it for fibromyalgia, migraines, depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders.

“Western Medicine” has Researched Arthritis for Decades

“According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Western medicine can be defined as: “A system in which medical doctors and other health care professionals (such as nurses, pharmacists, and therapists) treat symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery.” “Sep 4, 2020 National University of Health Sciences

If you want to know more about arthritis and what Western Medicine has discovered over the decades, let’s explore a bit to see what we can learn as science has continued exploring causes and solutions. I especially like the video below by Dr. Peterson. However, if you quickly want to learn a lot more about the Healy, Click Here for my very long answer to all those frequently asked questions.

If you are considering knee replacement and other options, please continue to read more below. We’ll get back to the Healy at the end of this blog.

This video, by Dr. Luke Peterson, is a great explanation of what arthritis is and whether you will continue to have it after knee replacement.

Inflammation is a Culprit!

Osteoarthritis

So, now we know inflammation is merely a symptom, and there are at least 100 underlying possible diseases that are associated with it. But, what are your options if you are diagnosed as having “osteoarthritis?”  Dr. Sid Padia gives us answers.

If you see a physician about pain, the doctor might ask you to complete an evaluation of your levels of pain, stiffness, and function.

My Pain Level Went from “10” to “1” – as in One!

Therefore, Comma, I LOVE My Healy!

Nancy Ayanna Wyatt Loves Healy for Arthritis Pain ReductionI gave Healy its own business page on My Get Well Guru. It’s really long, so you can get answers to almost any questions I could think of.

However, since many of you have pain as an ongoing challenge, I’m sharing it as this post, too. If you want a demonstration, I’ll be happy to arrange that with someone who has a lot more experience with Healy than I do. We can do it remotely via Zoom, for example. Just email me at GetWellStayWell@Outlook.com and put “Request for Healy Demo” in the subject line.

I’ve used my new Healy effectively on an excruciatingly, chronic, painful malady in my leg (following the contraction of Lyme Disease), and now am using it for my “frozen shoulder” pain. (I didn’t know that “frozen shoulder” is a thing – until it happened to me!)

I’ll let you know about my progress.

Footnote

*What does ‘FDA cleared‘ mean? … Companies must submit a “premarket notification submission” or 510(k) to the FDA so that it can review the product and clear it. Once the FDA declares that a new medical device is substantially equivalent to a predicate, it is “cleared,” and can be marketed and sold in the US. Aug 5, 2020 – www.cnet.com › Health and Wellness

That’s it for now. Stay tuned!

Acute & Chronic Pain: Mind Over Matter

When You’re In Acute or Chronic Pain, All You Want Is OUT!

Woman with chronic shoulder pain I recently became certified in a program that helps people deal with chronic illness, which sometimes results in acute or chronic pain, as well. That coursework redirected my thoughts back to ways in which people (including me) have learned to deal with pain so I want to share some ideas with you after I describe the certification I now have, as you might want to attend some of the classes.

Classes in both subjects (chronic illness and chronic pain) are available for patients throughout the world. The contents are based on many years of a study conducted by Stanford University to determine if its protocol works, and it has for many people. If you would like to learn more (either as a patient or as a trainer), you can follow the links in the paragraph below. If not, just skip down to learn more about pain-handling techniques. What About that Emotional Freedom Technique (aka EFT/Tapping)?

Why I Love the Emotional Freedom Technique

AKA “EFT” / “Tapping”

Are you familiar with the “Tapping” – Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) phenomenon?  This is a semi-miraculous, ritualized, way of “tapping” with your fingers on specific acupressure points on your body. You do this while speaking about topics that have caused issues for you. These may be health, financial circumstances, emotional pain, or some other theme. It even helps overcome the trauma of sexual abuse, as you will see if you keep reading.

Woman doing EFT on the under eye point. Emotional Freedom Techniques, tapping, a form of counseling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine. There is nothing I like better than learning about and practicing holistic healing techniques which work without any:

  • chemicals
  • invasive procedures
  • needles
  • pharmaceutical drugs
  • needles
  • surgery
  • volatile side effects

The originally-intended use of EFT was to overhaul the psychotherapy profession. What a success! It has reduced therapy time from months or years down to minutes or hours. In that process, we discovered that people also experienced profound physical healings.

That’s why I decided to add to my certifications and learn The Emotional Freedom Technique (commonly nicknamed “EFT” or tapping”) in 2012. I also am certified in Neuro-linguistic Programming and several forms of energy medicine, so tapping was very complementary – as in Complementary and Alternative Medicine.  smiley face laughing so hard it cries

For a more formal definition, here’s one from the ever-present Wikipedia. “Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a form of counseling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy.  During an EFT session, the client will focus on a specific issue while tapping on “endpoints of the body’s energy meridians.”
